We worked very closely with Wakefield based band New Vinyl in Autumn 2006 to produce this video. The first stage was to perform a 3 camera shoot at one of their gigs to provide a sound base on which to build the rest of the video upon & capture some of their raw energy in a live environment, we shot the whole show so their would be the choice of plenty of material to use and the band could be flexible about the track they chose to use for their promo video. A useful byproduct of this being that New vinyl now have a whole live show on DVD.
The next stage was to storyboard the rest of the video which was fairly easy as the song is based on a true story involving the lead singer Danny. We used an abandoned factory in Sheffield for the location to shoot the scenes involving an actress playing the part of Stephanie, so keeping it cheep. The band even had loan of the Light Engine Film's Jag for the final scenes. The entire location shoot took less than a day & was great fun for all involved. The edit took about 2 weeks and New Vinyl were kept constantly updated by us by sending them versions at various stages in the editing process via Youtube so the band could play an important roll in shaping the video how they wished.
